I recently had the opportunity to interview 2 of my favorite Los Angeles based Instagrammers. Since actively doing Travel blogging, Instagram has helped me discover even more inspiring people, places, food and beautiful souls.

What do you do for a living?
I am a Life Coach, Yoga Teacher, & Happiness Seeker
What is your secret to running a successful Instagram page and/or blog?
There are many layers. First is the beauty of the photos & feed. People tend to judge quickly by what they see, so the look is important to get followers initially. I enjoy being creative and playing with editing, color palettes, and themes so this element I naturally do for myself. I use the UNUM app to plan out some of my posts, so I know how my photos will look together.
The next few layers are a mix of your words, who you are, and what you stand for. I personally love following people that are real and feel like I know them through their posts and stories. I follow people who inspire me to be a better version of myself and unfollow anyone who makes me feel bad about myself, not good enough, or their values do not match up with mine.
Another layer is the level of engagement and responding to comments and DMs so you followers feel acknowledged. We all love to be seen & heard so that connection, shout out, like, positive feedback, or response can make someone’s day and keep them coming back for more.
For me, the most important thing is to ask yourself why are you posting in the first place? What is the energy behind it? If it is just to get likes, people can feel that. I always post to help my followers and readers in some way or share something that I am going through that could possibly help them. Are you selling yourself or sharing yourself? There is a big difference and followers can feel it. Also only post when you want to share and never feel like you have to. There are some weeks I do not post anything at all since I am not in the mood and do not want to force it.
Always celebrate the little wins. A lot of people are not happy unless they have a certain amount of followers or likes but instead, choose to be happy and super grateful for all the ones you already have, no matter how small. Connect with them, share with them, and talk to them the same way you would talk to your best friend or millions of people. Do not wait to get more followers to live out your dreams, just do it now.
Last but not least I am all about finding what works for you. I usually follow people who are different or authentic so just be yourself and the right people will find you. Never change to get more likes or followers. There is a saying that states if you want everyone to LIKE you, then no one will LOVE you. Be yourself and you will be loved for exactly who you are and what you have to offer.
How do you see yourself inspiring other women through social media?
Just by being me and sharing my knowledge. I have done a lot of training and have learned many tools to help people live a happier life. I want people to know that they have the power to create the life of their dreams. I am a living example and want to share many stories, tips, & tricks, as possible so hopefully, my followers can find something that works for them. I want women to see their amazing potential and instead of comparing themselves to others, step into the power of who they already are. Yes, under all those negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, and insecurities we already are the people we are hoping to become. I want my followers to know they are strong, capable, worthy, and loved and they can do so much more than they think they can. I intend to help people make small shifts so we can all create big beautiful change and truly love our lives.

I am a photographer, writer, and social media consultant and content creator.
What is your secret to running a successful Instagram page and blog?
Living and creating as an artist. I view Instagram as a living breathing creative expression of your innermost life. It is a gallery of our thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It has an energy that people pick up on. Honoring the authenticity of your creative process and your creative energy is key to being innovative and successful.
How do you see yourself inspiring other women through social media?
Being authentic. Celebrating my strengths and my differences and holding space for women to find their own creative voice. I often get asked about how I edit images and about my creative process, and I always invite other creators to find their own authentic vibe and point of view and process. After all, we are all here with different talents and skills, it’s important to create your own vision!
