Chanel’s Factory 5 Collection is here, and it is just another reason I am so deeply in love with the brand.
Chanel has a long history of turning unexpected ideas into cult designs, and I have been a fan of their Holiday Collections as shared on my blog and Instagram a few times. To celebrate the 100th birthday of the world’s most iconic perfume, CHANEL launched this week Factory 5, which to me is the brand’s most collectable launch to date.
WHAT IS CHANEL FACTORY 5?
To celebrate N° 5 and its one hundred years of celebrity, CHANEL has developed CHANEL FACTORY 5, a revolutionary experience that has made it possible to produce an entirely new collection, with N° 5 as its sole ingredient. Seventeen limited-edition products inspired by everyday objects, a reminder that wearing N° 5 transforms the ordinary.
WHERE IS THE FACTORY 5 COLLECTION MADE?
Welcome to CHANEL FACTORY 5, a production site designed to resemble an ultra-modern factory. It is entirely dedicated to transforming N° 5 into collector’s items, a product of the intersection between robotic precision and human skill. A special place where the history of the world’s most iconic fragrance meets the future, where the legend of N° 5 continues to reinvent itself every day.
MY FAVORITE FACTORY 5 PRODUCTS:
N°5 THE BODY OIL, FACTORY 5 COLLECTION
A body and hair oil with a rich, comfortable texture, in a bottle that resembles part of a DIY kit. It leaves the skin satiny smooth and hydrated for 8 hours* and makes the hair appear nourished, shiny and soft.
This oil has been by far the best body oil that CHANEL launched in my opinion and I wish it was not part of a limited collection as I would forever want to use it.
N°5 THE SHOWER GEL, FACTORY 5 COLLECTION
The creamy, foaming texture of this shower gel, packaged in a refillable 500 ml bottle that brings to mind a bottle of washing up liquid, leaves the skin soft and scented. I am in love with this shower gel, only one drop and it lathers your entire body. It is perfect for winter and especially on special occasions.
N°5 THE BODY CREAM, FACTORY 5 COLLECTION
Packaged in a generously sized gouache tube, the body cream has a rich texture that leaves skin soft and comfortably moisturised for up to 8 hours.* – which I can honestly say it does. Again, another great product to use during winter.
N°5 THE BATH TABLETS, FACTORY 5 COLLECTION
Packaged in a collectable tea tin, 10 individually wrapped BATH TABLETS delicately scent your bath water as they dissolve.
N°5 THE MYSTERY BOX, FACTORY 5 COLLECTION
Presented in a mystery box that is sure to conjure up childhood memories, this essential hand care kit includes four gifts: N°5 L’EAU ON HAND CREAM 50 ml, a black and white pouch, a towel that unfolds on contact with water to reveal the N°5 logo and a white nail file in a black felt sleeve.
N°5 L’EAU ON HAND CREAM accentuates the softest, most delicate facets of N°5 L’EAU. Top notes of lemon, mandarin and orange are propelled skyward by aldehydes, followed by a profusion of flowers. Rose melds with airy jasmine and a fraction of ylang-ylang that is more modern than ever. Behind this bouquet, vetiver and cedar impart a novel dynamism, accompanied by white musk notes. Never has N°5 been so natural.

A glass water bottle (590 ml) whose label adopts the same visual identity as the N°5 perfume bottle. This bottle is something so special, I invested in two!
