Amidst a world pandemic, I believe in finding good and positive treasures around me to keep me inspired, motivated and let my creative juices flow. One destination that helps with that is the Spice Route situated on the slopes of Paarl mountain.
Since my first Spice Route visit, I have seen them evolve, innovate and grow to one of the most beautiful destinations in the Cape Winelands.
Every artisan invited to be part of the Spice Route Destination community is handpicked and different. From chocolate making and beer brewing to wine tasting, distilling and a taste from all corners of the world, the shared goal is to bring a unique strength and art to the whole collective while supporting each other’s individual trade.
With the recent announcement of moving the country into level 2, guests are also able to relax outside on the pergola with a glass of Spice Route Wines enjoyed with one of Chef Neil Jewell’s gourmet charcuterie platters – which is absolutely to die for!
Strict social distancing rules apply – but luckily the farm has ample space for you to explore, wander and experience!
Spice Route is situated on Suid-Agter Paarl Road with a mere 40 to 60-minute drive from Cape Town.
